Our Story

Hi, and thanks for visiting The Academy for People Science. I’m Dr. Jordan Markee, an organizational psychologist and a Board-Certified Coach (BCC).

I’ve spent over 20 years working across both federal and commercial organizations, and I’ve seen what leadership really looks like behind the scenes: the good, the average, and the kind that quietly damages people and performance every day.

I’ve seen what happens when leadership is unclear, inconsistent, or avoidant. Teams operate in constant confusion, high performers burn out, and good people begin to question their value. I’ve also seen what it feels like to wake up every day and go somewhere you do not want to be, simply because people are depending on you.

That experience stays with you.

I started The Academy for People Science because I care about people, and I understand what poor leadership actually does. It is not just missed targets or slow execution. It creates stress, anxiety, and psychological fatigue for the people behind the work—the ones expected to perform, deliver, and carry the weight. It impacts confidence, relationships, and overall wellbeing. And for organizations, it leads to lost productivity, disengagement, turnover, and poor decision making.
